The Backstory
The Scott Rogers - Dark Rogers narrative is utterly compelling to me. The story of a good guy pushed to the edge and spat out the other side as bad ass is everywhere but this is somehow extra. It's not lost on anyone that Dark Rogers is constantly being urged to suppress himself and return back to what people expect from him, analogy for coming out if I ever heard one, but I digress. No, Scott Rogers would not return no matter how much his former friend, Jason Ward, wishes it so.
The Action
Jason Ward makes one last bet; that if he wins the match, then Dark Rogers will return to his former self.
Unfortunately for Jason, he doesn't stand a chance against the new and upgraded Rogers. The poor guy is completely destroyed by the dark incantation.
The Moment
A mere submission is not enough for Dark Rogers. The moment is that he needs to destroy his opponent and leave them a quivering mess. Dark Rogers takes - that's the main difference between him and Scott. Dark Rogers takes what he wants gets the better of those around him.
While I wouldn't go so far as to label Scott Rogers a jobber; Dark Rogers is all heel and 100% never turning down his sexually charged persona. If he was wrestling today, I'm confident he'd be the alpha Rogers and it's no wonder he didn't want to look back.
